It’s an opportunity to expand your professional offering\, strengthening workplace capability and make a meaningful impact where it’s urgently needed. \nThis course is suitable for individuals seeking to build on their facilitation\, training or coaching experience and who are passionate about building grief literacy. \nDates: 19 July & 22 June 2026\nTime: 9:30am – 5:00pm both days \nPre Requisite:\nA 30 min meet and greet is required before registering to become a licensed instructor\, please drop us a line with your full name and enquiry and we’ll make a time with you. \nEnquire Now \n  \nWho Should Attend\nThis course is suitable for individuals seeking to build on their facilitation\, training or coaching experience and who are passionate about building grief literacy. \n  \nAs a Licensed Instructor\, you empower people to:  \n\nRecognise and respond appropriately to both death and non-death losses.\nBreak down stigma and silence\, creating workplaces where grief can be safely acknowledged.\nBuild supportive environments that protect wellbeing and meet psychosocial safety obligations.\nContribute to healthier\, more resilient organisations and communities.\n\n\nFormat\nSessions will be delivered as 2 full days\, with Assessment component to be submitted within 10 days of completing the training. \n  \nWhat to Expect\nThere are a maximum of 12 participants per group. \n  \nBy the end of this training\, Instructors will be able to: \n1. Foundations of Grief and Loss \n\nAccurately explain contemporary understandings of grief\, including its emotional\, cognitive\, physical\, social\, and workplace impacts.\nFacilitate informed discussions on diverse grief journeys\, drawing on established and emerging models of grief to normalise variation rather than prescribe stages.\n\n  \n2. Cultural Safety\, Diversity\, and Inclusion in Grief Education \n\nModel and teach culturally safe and inclusive facilitation practices\, including respectful language\, non-assumptive approaches\, and awareness of power and privilege.\nGuide participants to recognise the limits of their own cultural lenses when supporting grieving colleagues.\nEnsure grief education aligns with ethical\, trauma-aware\, and culturally responsive principles.\n\n  \n3. Grief First Aid Framework and Role Clarity \n\nClearly articulate the role\, scope\, and limitations of a Grief First Aider\, including boundaries between peer support and professional intervention.\nTeach participants when and how to escalate or refer to appropriate internal or external supports (e.g. EAP\, HR\, clinical services).\nEmbed a preventative\, workplace-first approach\nPosition Grief First Aid within organisational wellbeing strategies using the Grief First Aid Framework and Governance Model.\n\n  \n4. Practical Skills \n\nConfidently teach and model the GRIEF Action Plan\, demonstrating compassionate\, confident\, and ethical responses to grief in the workplace.\nAdapt delivery methods to suit different learning environments while maintaining fidelity to the Grief First Aid Framework\nCreate and maintain psychologically safe learning environments\, particularly when sensitive or emotionally charged topics arise.\n\n\nApply safe storytelling principles\, including consent\, choice\, containment\, and non-extractive learning.\nIdentify and respond appropriately to participant distress during training\, including grounding strategies and referral pathways.\nBalance authentic learning with participant wellbeing protection\, in line with the Safe Storytelling Policy.\n\n  \n5. Ethical Practice\, Boundaries\, and Confidentiality \n\nUphold and teach the Ethical Code of Practice\, including confidentiality\, informed consent\, and respect for participant autonomy.\nMaintain professional boundaries in training\, storytelling\, and post-session interactions.\nRecognise ethical risks and dilemmas in grief education and respond in accordance with governance requirements.\nModel ethical behaviour as a core component of instructor credibility and program integrity.\n\n  \n6. Governance\, Quality Assurance\, and Accreditation \nInstructors will be able to: \n\nExplain the Grief First Aid Governance Model\, including accountability\, oversight\, and instructor responsibilities.\nDeliver training in alignment with the Quality Assurance Framework\, ensuring consistency\, accuracy\, and safety.\nAdminister participant assessments and accreditation processes.\n\n  \n7. Instructor Self‑Care and Sustainability \n\nDemonstrate and teach sustainable self-care practices when working repeatedly with grief-related material.\nRecognise signs of cumulative emotional load and apply protective strategies.\nModel reflective practice and help participants understand the importance of boundaries and recovery.\n\n  \n8. Building Capability\, Networks\, and Future Pathways \n\nPosition Grief First Aid strategically within organisations to support long-term culture change.\nContribute feedback and insights to the Future Development Pathway of Grief First Aid.\nAct as ambassadors for quality\, ethical\, and evidence-informed grief education in workplaces.\n\n  \n9.
